All 16 guest units at The Cabins at Healing Springs offer private entrances and individual HVAC along with a range of amenities from gas fireplaces, kitchenettes, full kitchens, flat screen TV’s, refrigerators, private porches, coffee makers and more. The 14 cabins are in good condition and have been renovated down to the studs for four-season use. The current owners have updated the interiors with other modern conveniences including high speed Wi-Fi.
The cabins are located only 1 mile from the New River, a top area attraction popular for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking and other recreational activities. The nearby Mount Jefferson State Natural Area features excellent hiking opportunities and stunning views. Only 18 miles away is Grayson Highlands State Park; A tremendous draw connected to Mt. Rogers National Recreation and Lewis Wilderness areas, this park offers guests excellent hiking, stunning views, waterfalls and the renowned wild ponies. The charming town of West Jefferson, within 12 miles, offers guests local dining, craft artisans, shopping and seasonal events.
The exteriors of the remaining cabins and the grounds are maintained in appearance as originally built, and Healing Springs Road runs through the center of the property with buildings on either side. The Main Lodge houses the front desk with a guest check-in area along with a small general store area where guests can purchase assorted sundries, locally raised meats, and locally crafted soap and artworks. The world-famous Healing Springs, discovered in 1883, is located in the center of the property and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The property was originally developed as a health spa retreat in 1888. The property offers numerous parking areas for up to 30 cars along with 4 fully functional RV hookups.
